Eyes on Vanier Walkabout

When:    Sundays at 1 p.m. (weather permitting)
Location:    Park at corner of Marier & Carillon

Eyes on Vanier Walkabout is a group of area residents who gather weekly to walk Vanier's neighbourhoods.  The Walkabout serves many purposes, not the least of which is to ensure that Vanier remains a safe place to live & play.  Eyes on Vanier Walkabout aims to build our community, generating a sense of belonging, sharing common concerns & finding resolutions, and promoting Vanier events to residents greeted along the way.

Eyes on Vanier Walkabout’s contribution to improving the safety of our residents helped towards Vanier receiving the Ontario Chiefs of Police Association’s Community Mobilization Award in June 2009.  In addition, Eyes on Vanier Walkabout was runner-up for a Crime Prevention Ottawa's Community Safety Award in November 2009.
