Together for Vanier has truly been a boon for the community of Vanier since it's inception in 2007. A group of community-based volunteers, including residents and representatives from community organizations, has worked successfully to address some of the issues that have been negatively impacting Vanier. The results of those efforts are evident across the community with the unprecedented involvement in community security initiatives such as Neighbourhood Watch, parks clean up events, Montreal Road re-vitalization initiatives, increased awareness of community assets and a whole host of other achievements. It has been a privilege to both support and participate in this community-building initiative.
